Painter, set designer, costume designer, author of installations, he has worked for some public institutions and exhibited both in Italy and abroad. His work has always been configured as an investigation into a historical past linked to the places of origin (the Gargano area) and as an assiduous comparison with the contemporary understood in a multidisciplinary sense. From this comes the passion for the world of music and dance; to the latter Troiano has dedicated a conspicuous part of his research, which is still in the evolution phase. Among the images that still characterize Berlin are the stumps of the hated wall that divided the city in two from 1961 until 1989, the year of its fall.
Suggestive are the 7000 stumbling blocks placed on the pavement of the city, in front of the homes of the deportees to the Nazi concentration camps: Sinti, Roma, politicians, homosexuals, Jews.
The theater scene off Berlin is effervescent and experimental and continues to offer novelties and transgressions. Discreetly wandering between ballet rehearsals and setting up the sets, Troiano fills his notebook with dance steps and choreographic movements that he fixes in an electric short-circuit scan. Silhouettes that look like lightning bolts. As the author says: a dutiful tribute to Giacometti and the filiform essentiality of his sculptures.
The story about dance continues with the serial reuse of an advertising card that unleashes a silent uproar of mutilated and sketchy bodies, lumpy and deformed spots that seem to come from the unconscious.<\/p>\n
