13th July \u2013 5th August 2024 The Galleria Immaginaria in pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition Essence<\/em> of the artist Andrea Orani, on Saturday 13th July 2024 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n Andrea Orani’s artistic journey unfolds on two parallel and distinct tracks: painting and illustration. In his native land of Sardinia the examples of illustrators have been vastly documented. We find ourselves here to discuss, or rather, to write about his body of work, his identity as a painter, his study and research of the art of painting, and the synthesis of it all in the development of his craft. For decades I’ve been following his work, phase after phase, his cycles, witnessing as he achieved his artistic state of being. It is an essence teeming with study and research, because it’s very true when they say that one works so hard, studies so much, and tunnels away incessantly to reach a few moments of a synthesis that is the intimate essence of Everything. Just as Andrea is able to execute with a meticulous richness of detail every aspect of his work as an illustrator, he is also minimal, essentialist, unadorned in his work as a painter, an abstract painter, assuming it still makes sense to talk about abstractism. Andrea’s technique is precise and absolute, it never hesitates. It plots and builds on the surface or in the depth his mark, his absolute, wise moves; it determines defined planes and spaces, vibrant and static, though always lyrical. Everything is always in the right place, everything is perfectly reasoned, measured, like a ritual that repeats itself in time and space, an innate, sacred, and full understanding of the divine proportion that has always been at the base of his every work, which brings him to the deepest truthof painting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
