Paolo Sistilli

Born in Porto San Giorgio in 1950, he moved to the Netherlands in the 70s where he lives and works. He graduated from the Utrecht Academy of Fine Arts in Monumental Design. During his long artistic career he has exhibited seasonally in numerous European galleries.

He participated in the 54th Venice Biennial and exhibited at the Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam.

His works are a kaleidoscopic set of multi-colors, where the line is an active sign, a psychic expression, giving rise to forms, surfaces, triggered by simple rhythmic variations, modular repetitions and fading etc.

In his abstract compositions, the circle is the symbol of the cosmos and dominates the composition, opposing the stasis of the square. It completely involves the viewer in hypnotic contemplation.
