Sergi Barnils was born in 1954 in Bata, the capital of Equatorial Guinea. He currently lives and works in Sant Cugat, near Barcelona. Through a geometric sign that is diluted in the use of colors, the absolute protagonists of his painting – and undoubtedly also of the most recent sculptural production – Barnils has come to condense in his images, albeit abstract and dense with primordial graffiti, his most intimate reflections on the human condition.
