Galleria Immaginaria, in collaboration with the Galerija Bel Art of Novi Sad, is pleased to invite you to the inauguration of the exhibition Between the folds of space by the artist Bosiljka Zirojević Lečić.

Serbian artist, was born in Novi Sad, Bosiljka inspires by abstractionism of the first half of the 20th century, represented by important artists such as Malevich, Mondrian and in Dutch neoplasticism.
Rationality, precision and clarity are her dogmas, although to create her shapes she often uses soft elements, such as wool or cloth, always predominant fabrics. We therefore perceive how her “soft paintings” are based on the contrast between precise and abstract geometric shapes and tactile and soft materials, creating a tension between order and delicacy.
In the cycle Soft shapes, sharp shapes the combination of different elements in geometric fields, with the frame obtained by stitching the edges of the fabric, seems to challenge the traditional artistic conventions.
Her ideas, together with her ability to stand out in synthesizing them geometrically, are a sign of the artist’s profound dedication to keeping human value alive in art.
Bosiljka Zirojević Lečić leads us to the very essence of her artistic thought: acting in clear contrast to the chaos and brutality of the contemporary world.
